  2. All basic plans (shared with a Microsoft 365 Group)

You can access it in two ways:

Option 1: Basic plans (New!)

Planner Agent is enabled in all shared basic plans by default for Microsoft 365 Copilot-licensed users.

  1. Create or open a basic plan shared with a Microsoft 365 Group.

  2. Access the agent at any time using the floating action button in the bottom right corner of your plan. From here, you can upload files as context for the agent via Knowledge sources.

  3. Assign a task to the Planner Agent to start using the AI assistant.

  4. If your plan has at least 10 tasks, navigate to the Reports tab and generate a status report detailing progress on your plan.

Option 2: Premium plans

If you already have a shared premium plan in Planner, Planner Agent is enabled by default.

  1. Open any premium plan shared with a Microsoft 365 Group.

  2. Assign a task to Planner Agent to start using the AI assistant.

  3. Or go to the Goals tab to generate tasks from a high-level goal.

  4. If your plan has at least 10 tasks, navigate to the Reports tab and generate a status report detailing progress on your plan.

From here, you can use the Planner Agent to generate tasks for your plan and assign the Planner Agent to tasks for execution.
