There are several ways to adjust your settings and notifications for channels. 

Change Activity feed notifications for all channels 

Use these instructions to change Activity feed notifications for all your Posts and Threads layout channels across Teams. 

  1. From the top of Teams, select Settings and more  Generic Ellipsis button. 

  2. Select Settings  Settings button > Notifications and activity .

From here, you can turn on or off notifications for replies to followed threads and posts or show them in the Activity feed and banner, or only the Activity feed.  

Change notifications for a specific channel 

  1. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​To the right of the channel name, select More options  Generic Ellipsis button.

  2. Select Channel notifications .

From here, you can turn on or off notifications for all new messages or posts (depending on layout). You can also choose to show notifications in the Activity feed and banner, or only the Activity feed.  

For channels in the Threads layout:

  • Choose to Include thread replies if you want to be notified when other people reply to a post or message.

  • Choose to Follow all new threads if you want to see new replies in Followed threads  Icon for following a thread in the Threads layout in Teams​​​​​​​ at the top of your list of chats and channels. This setting won't notify you in the Activity feed.

Change what you see in Quick views

At the top of your chats and channels list, Quick views reflect new channel activity, like  @mentions or Followed threads. 

To see more options for what appears in this area, hover over Quick views and select See more  Can view eyeball icon. 

Choose how Quick views appear:

Always – Quick view is always visible.

When unread – Quick view appears only when there are unread items.

Hide – Quick view is hidden.
